The tip of the nose
The other day I read a book a friend lent me. It's about
Zen Master Dogen said, "Zazen is balancing on the tip of the nose."
Zazen is the seated posture for meditation. It is the essence of the practice.
And is not explained, because it is a practice.
understood that the nose is something very personal. A rudder of the body. Ours and very self-referential.
From the tip of the nose on, are the others. Things, the times ... the outside world. The nose shows us the limit (and not because it's big nose).
Sitting in the posture of the Buddha, we balance between external and internal. Between the mind and spirit.
Among the verb, the word ... and the silence of the non-created.
Between myself and others. Among others and myself. Between everything and nothing. In the mean
action without ulterior motives. Let's try
balance between the intentions and emotions. Between thought and feeling.
A life of one without the other is a day without sunshine. The heart's systole and diastole. Without
unturned!. No worries. Today.
